WHAT IS A FIELD SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE INSPECTOR AND WHAT TYPE OF BUSINESS IS IT?

 

A field Service Representative Inspector performs assignments for businesses that require information regarding their Real Estate and other type collateral property.

 

The type of business and industry requiring such services from Field Representatives vary from the Mortgage Industry, Financial Services and Banking Companies, Insurance Companies and all who have the need to be informed on their equipment financed, property mortgaged, insurance claims, audit and evaluations of many different type assets.

 

Who needs Field Service Contractors and why?

 

Considering the cost a company would incur in the planning and travel to recruit and employ mobile inspectors in almost every state in the United States and other countries. Not only is the cost prohibitive but the screening and employing of Service Reps in such large numbers and in so many different states makes it an impossibility to achieve productively and realistically.

 

It is imperative that certain type companies obtain necessary information about an inspection site and or property they intend to loan money on or even to set up a merchant account for a business and too many other reasons to list in this article. Companies need the current detailed specific information to determine the criteria they are considering quickly and accurately.

 

A Local Field Service Representative assigned and contracted can obtain, provide and enter that data into forms supplied by the company. The information required can then be sent through fax, mail or Internet  for each inspection assignment.

 

In many cases no experience is needed for these self-contractor positions

and assignments. There are some companies that will provide complete training.  The duties consist more in filling in forms on paper or on the Internet and therefore, very little training is required and no experience is necessary. You should have good driving record with a current drivers license in your state and the ability to work independently. It is a great  business to work in and perfect for those who are self-motivated, can work independently of an employer, have the desire to earn a good income in their own business and can be responsible in providing hones and legitimate information to the company requesting it.

A breif description of your duties are driving throughout your local area and zip codes you accept inspecting properties. Some assignments include drive by inspections, some may include a walk through of the house or business auditing and evaluating equipment safety hazards, some may include what is referred to as 'loss' inspections. There are too many to include in this space. You will be required to record inspections and the correct information the company assigns you to perform. This position can be on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

 

When you have proved your performance as reliable and trust worthy you will experience a great many more assignments from the companies you send your resumes out to.

There is a saying,  ‘a picture is worth a thousand words'. And, that is the very reason I provide information on what you will be doing as a Field Service Rep. I could hardly believe the opportunity was for real. I went along with it for the first assignments, but was skeptical that I would be paid. You can imagine my pleasure in receiving payment for my services, reimbursement for my expenses, bonus payments for pictures and extra bonus checks for 'Rush' assignments. I worked at it a full 6 months before I realized the bubble was not going to burst. This truly was a great opportunity to learn and earn and not be involved with any type sales of a product. Positions are available to conduct Census Bureau surveys on a variety of vital issues such as health, housing, income, employment, and crime. Field Representatives interview randomly selected addresses, usually using a laptop computer. The number of hours worked may range from 30-80 hours each month, depending on the workload in the assignment area. The best time to interview tends to be on the weekends and evening.

This is an ideal job for a self-starter who is organized and who enjoys meeting and talking with people. While most people are cooperative, some respondents require our interviewers to be skilled salespeople - that is, to "sell" them on the importance of the survey.
